It used to be hard to describe the little dirt road that takes you directly to Palmar from Rt 19, but now there’s a brilliant white sign that says “El Pescadero”. So turn here, go straight and you’ll run into it.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO…
We’ll just say it, we used to love that you could get lost finding this place in a sleepy part of San Pedrito…it meant you had to really want to visit. But now there’s a giant lit up sign at the turn off Rte 19 that gets you there, so we imagine we’re going to have to update the “Hidden Gem” part of the listing. It’s still a delightful family-run cafe + hotelito hosted by three generations of fierce females. The Smoked Salmon Bagel Sandwich is swoon-worthy, the matcha knocks your socks off.
